Cooper received an extensive introduction to circus at the New England Center for Circus Arts in Brattleboro, VT. He graduated from their Intensive Training program in 2011. That summer, Cooper moved to Canada to study at the National Circus School. While studying in Montreal, he developed a unique Silks repertoire and combined his lifelong dance experience with newly acquired acrobatic skills. He graduated from the school’s three-year collegial program as a Swinging Trapeze specialist with a Minor in Aerial Silks.
Since graduation in 2014, Cooper has performed as an aerialist, acrobat, tap/jazz dancer, singer, and actor in Canada and the US. He continues to write music and is always looking for ways to combine the various art forms he’s enjoyed growing up with. In addition to live performance, Cooper has appeared in two Short Films, a Walgreens TV commercial, and on the Jimmy Fallon show.
